The DREAM Procedure was featured in an Atlanta women's magazine. More and more patients are seeing the benefits of using regenerative medicine as a part of the aesthetic procedures.
The DREAM Procedure: Aesthetic surgery game-changer
February 13, 2016
Recovery time, swelling and healing are some of the biggest downsides to aesthetic procedures. So, when we heard that a Cobb-based medical development company is forerunning a treatment that accelerates healing and enhances the outcome of aesthetic procedures (like laser resurfacing, injectibles and more), we were intrigued.
We sat down with Matthew Bine, founder of The DREAM Procedure — an aesthetic game-changer that utilizes growth factors derived from amniotic membrane (yep!). If you’re considering any facial procedures, take note as Bine shares how these magical molecules work.
DREAM actually stands for Dermal Rejuvenation Enhanced by Amniotic Membrane. The amniotic membrane is derived from dehydrated (and medically sterilized) placenta. (Stick with us here!) Amniotic membrane has been shown to contain 50+ growth factors and bioactive cellular chemicals that do some fairly amazing things when applied to a wound. In fact, growth factors found in amniotic membrane have been used for over a century to accelerate healing in everyone from burn victims to spinal surgery patients.
The DREAM Procedure, however, is the first time growth factors have been adapted to stimulate the body’s healing ability after certain aesthetic treatments. “This tissue has a tremendous ability to aid your own body in the healing process,” says Bine.
Bine explains that the placentas used— all obtained from full-term cesarean section deliveries with the mother’s consent— undergo a rigorous medical testing and sterilization process. After being carefully treated, the life-giving properties of the placenta are harnessed via The DREAM Procedure.
